The atmosphere of the hotel was majestic, beautiful, and soul-touching, felt very at home, close to my heart. The bed was super comfortable, the pillows, the duvet were high quality, and that led to restful sleep. The food was high quality, well presented. The staff there was superb. Enjoyed every bit of my stay.

We loved Boscastle as a base to explore the north coast of Cornwall. Coastal walks are stunning and we visited Padstow, Tintagel, Port Isaac and the Eden project (about 45 mins-1 hour drive). I believe that Bude and Newquay are a similar drive away but didn't get to visit them on this trip.
If you want a very special meal and like sea food we would definitely recommend the "Rocket Store". This place was featured in one of Rick Stein's Cornwall programmes and although not cheap it fully lived up to expectations and we enjoyed a fabulous last night meal. Several other pub and restaurant options which we didn't try apart from the Napolean Inn close to our cottage and this was also very good and served an excellent Sunday lunch.

As we visited in December, it was quiet allowing us to meander and enjoy the area without the crowds.
The people we met were all pleasant and friendly and made our visit enjoyable.
I can only imagine, what it must be like for traffic etc in peak season, which I personally would avoid due to the limited access and parking.
Places we ate were The Wellington, the Cobweb and the Riverside.
Of the three we enjoyed the Riverside for quality and value mostly, but we would recommend all for various reasons.
We joined in with the community when they lit the lobsterpot Christmas tree, along with local school children singing and Boscastle Morris team dancing and then back into the pub to warm up.

I stayed for 2 days.
I stayed for 2 days. You could stay 1 day longer, but that would be about it. In theory, you could be able to cover most of the main sites around the town within a day or a day and a half.
The witchcraft museum is definitely worth a visit. I was really surprised and learnt a lot. An odd place for such a museum, but then again, it's as good a place as any.
Make sure you book one of the restaurants. Especially on a Friday or Saturday night, almost no place, including The Riverside where I was staying was accepting walk-ins.

A good location for exploring that part of Cornwall. A good selection of hotels and restaurants, we tried all of them during our stay and they were all friendly and welcoming. The car park is close to all the facilities and is charged until 1600 Monday to Sunday.

Pretty place to visit, very interesting.
Pretty place to visit, very interesting. Lovely walks to be had too.
Take a purse full of 20pence pieces as a lot of the harbours residents have had to take on the the upkeep of the toilet facilities, therefore unfortunately having to charge for usage.
Lovely restaurants but ideally need to pre-book as they get very busy! We didn’t go during school holidays and was still booked up. Some really cute shops to buy gifts.
The Hotel staff at the Wellington really made our visit. They were very helpful and accommodating. They took extra time to answer our questions and tell us about nearby places that we may want to visit during our stay.
We had to check out early to catch a train and I had left a pair of earrings behind. They contacted me first and asked if I wanted them to mail the earrings to me!
We had an exceptional stay and will definitely stay there again when visiting Cornwall.
The location was perfect for us, although we didn't walk down to Boscastle because of the weather, in the summer this would certainly have been possible (although would be a steep walk up!). We drove out to Port Isaac, Rock, Eden Project and Tintagel as well as St Nectan's waterfall. The cottage was clean, comfortable and great for kids and dog. Very relaxing. We liked the scones and clotted cream on arrival and a chew for the dog, a lovely touch!
Gorgeous views and lovely outdoor play area for the kids. The cottage was lovely and clean with lots of essentials provided (soap, washing liquid, salt and pepper, foil etc). Lovely friendly hosts and a nice little welcome including scones and cream and a small carton of milk for a brew on arrival.
There was plenty to do within a short drive, lots of quaint towns and beaches. We went to Boscastle, Port Isaac, Bude, Newquay.
This is a restaurant with rooms. The food was excellent but of course the rooms were not the main focus. No lounge area but lovely garden with tables over a small bridge to the hotel. Very friendly and pleasant staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Public parking only 50 metres away. Excellent location by the little river that goes through Boscastle to the sea. All prices were good value
The cottage had everything we needed. It was cozy, clean, and exactly as described. The very nice touches made it all the more special — scones and clotted cream, milk in the fridge, and a note explaining everything. I also liked the website and blog offering tons of suggestions for things to do and places to eat in the area. Would stay there again!
The cottage was very spacious and very clean, the kitchen was equipped with everything you would need. Despite being next to the road there was hardly any traffic which made it a very peaceful weekend. Boscastle is a couple of minutes down the narrow lane and surrounding villages are not that far away.
Lovely flat in Boscastle which was well equipped and comfortable.
We stayed in a cold snap in December and the flat was heated for our arrival and was very warm and cozy to return to after a walk on the coast path. Easy walk to the village centre and a great pub recommendation from the host.
The location in the village was prefect for us, away for the main harbour, but close the to a local shop and a 10 minute, if steep, walk down to the harbour. Cosy feel to the cottage and very comfortable bed. Great to have the welcome pack on arrival of local goods and a coffee machine.
Good location for my work at a local business. The decor of the Sloe cottage was excellent and I likes the hanging tapestries and ornaments. The views from the property are great, and I liked the small garden seating area available for residents which had good views.
The view is stunning and it's a fantastic location for visiting Boscastle harbour, Nectar's Glen waterfall and Tintagel.
The bell tent is very clean and the bed is very comfortable. The lights and picnic basket are a lovely homely welcome addition to the tent.
Apartment was perfect. Fully equipped kitchen, comfortable bed and setting area. Large bathroom with bath and shower.
Central yet quiet location just 5 minutes walk to the harbour. Own parking area. Pubs & Restuarants about 200m away,
Clean, tidy, kitchen well equipped, comfotable, peaceful location, close to coastal path and Boscastle. Extra bonus was games room, especially for a rainy, stormy day!
Self contained unit with many facilities, comfortable bed and full kitchen. Spacious. Short drive to Boscastle and the coast for lovely scenic views and cafe meals.
Great location. Good view from our family room. Shared bathroom/toilet was clean and spotless. Good kitchen and dining area. Friendly and helpful staff.
