The host Whitney was very helpful from before arrival throughout our stay, he saved the day and went above and beyond to help us with a problem we had with our car.
Safe place to be, large comfortable accommodation.
Very little but cozy swimming pool.
Very close to soufriere town and attractions.
A 4x4 car is suggested.
There is a lovely cat there, white and ginger if you love animals take care of him while there, he is a super cutie.
We are located 1.6 miles away from Soufriere Town central in the community of Fond St Jacques.17 miles from Hewanoŕra International Airport.

Everything was very nice, clean and we had all we needed. The hosts were very helpful, gave us tips for local restaurants and places to visit. They also let stay after checkout time so we didn’t have to store all our stuff in car before going to the airport.
The swimming pool area was very nice:)

La Kaye Nou, is a typical St Lucian home – a bungalow made of brick with two bedrooms, shower room, toilet kitchen, and lounge. It was really comfortable and I like the furnishings. it had everything we needed for our stay. It reminded me of my family home growing up. Best of all the owner is a masseuse and she gave us the most wonderful massage on one of our last days, very reasonably priced as well.
Set on a lush tropical estate, Anse Chastanet Resort is situated between Anse Chastanet and Anse Mamin beaches, and offers wonderful views of Petit and Gros Piton mountains and the Caribbean Sea.

Soufriere is a weird kind of place, it looks sad and it was a place where we didn't feel safe, lots of men sitting around offering you stuff, we only found 1 restaurant half decent (where we ate at twice and the food was lovely, don't remember the name but it's close to the dock and it looks like it's where tour guides take tourists to), lots of drunk people on the street too.
I understand why people go to St Lucia and just stay at their resorts, this area is not yet prepared to receive tourists who like to explore.
The beaches nearby are nice but Sugar Beach is ridiculous, yes, it is beautiful but it is absurd that a 5 star hotel takes up the whole beach.
I'm glad we only spent 1 night here and the rest of the holiday in Rodney Bay, where there are more restaurants and lovely beaches. Much better infra-structure for tourism.

Great place for a base to St Lucia, as the most interesting places to visit are near here. There are a lot of locals that hang out in the city which makes it congested but they are very friendly, and all the people in the shops were friendly as well. The beach in the city is decent, and free, whereas the nearby resort ones are very nice but cost $$. I would base here again. Driving the road north is something you'll want to do only once due to how long it takes and the aggressive drivers, so plan accordingly!! :)

The resorts are great, it’s close to many adventures and sights… but in all my years of travel I’ve never been so hounded by peddlers. There were a few times we felt unsafe and were yelled at for not buying something. We

Soufriere is a must for anyone who visits St Lucia; there are the Pitons, the sulphur springs, Diamond baths and waterfalls and the botanical gardens and more. The locals are kind, polite, you are never hassled. The food is good and lots of good walks, transport is good. A good place to chill, walk or take a boat ride to the left Anse Chastanet or to the right to Sugar Beach.

We hiked the Gros piton trail- strenuous but rewarding although they wouldn’t let us see the second viewpoint at the peak of petit piton which was disappointing. We also liked the diamond falls botanical garden- small but beautiful. Fun town with some good restaurants- we ate at the hummingbird restaurant which was excellent.
Amazing location in the centre of town. The apartment was perfect! Modern decor, air con, fans, comfortable sofas and bed, well equipped kitchen. We thought the apartment was much better than the pictures indicated and hope they update them so more people want to come to stay at this lovely place! If you’re coming to St Lucia I wouldn’t stay in Soufriere for your whole time but it’s a charming place to visit that you shouldn’t miss out for a couple of nights! Definitely worth exploring beyond Rodney Bay and Resorts
The view is absolutely stunning - one of the best in Soufriere in my opinion. We loved the pool area and being surrounded by nature (without mosquitos!). The room was clean and comfortable, with a great balcony - perfect for coffee in the morning and working out. We used the kitchen to make breakfast and dinners - it's well equipped (kettle, toaster, microwave, stove). We recommend the nearby Treetop restaurant (5 min walk from Samfi) for excellent Indian food.
Good wifi, good AC
The staff are terrific and the grounds are gorgeous. The cottages are so cute! The breakfast is very good. Jenny, from the front desk was our "go to" person. She should be made the manager of Fond Doux. The location of Fond Doux is perfect for doing all of the activities in the south. It was very close to Malgretoute Beach, a good beach for snorkeling. The hotel there, the Paradise Hotel. has a restaurant and people to bring you doo and drinks to your $15 chairs.
Beautiful view and location, good customer service but property is a little dated (but that does not take away from it being a beautiful property).
It's like the affordable boogie resort amongst the overpriced boogie resorts. It's located in Soufriere, St Lucia - where the most expensive resorts on the island are located. The location is where tourist from allover the island end up at on the most popular excursions and top star restaurants.
This is a fantastic place to stay in Soufriere if your looking for something where you can be self sufficient, it’s about a ten minute walk to the high street and about 5 to the nearest supermarket. The room was clean, well equipped and with a nice outdoor seating area. The small garden is very peaceful and the friendly owner showed me the plants and gave me fresh guavas, pomegranates, ginger and basil. I would definitely stay here again
The location is perfect, a block from the beach in the city of Soufriere, so you can walk around easily. Much better than staying in a luxury resort up on the hill, this is the way how you can meet locals and learn how they live their everyday lives. The apartment is brand new and perfectly clean, and the owner is so helpful and nice. The view from the balcony is spectacular
Me and my wife needed a place to stay 1 night before we take a sailboad from Soufriere.
The place is very close to the main pier where the boats anchor and all you need is around the hotel. Restaurants, bars, supermarket, pharmacy. I had an issue with my board during the flight to Sta. Lucia and I could find all materials needed to fix my kite board neraby the hotel.
Comfortable, vintage-style 2-bedroom villa, very clean, parking, lovely pool. fantastic staff particularly Martha, who went out of her way to make our stay enjoyable. great proximity to most of the best areas on the island (Soufriere, Botanical gardens, Sulfur springs, Sugar Beach, Hummingbird, Anse Chastenet, Gros Piton, Tet Paul trail, rainforest hiking …)
The property is stunning. Such a beautiful location with a beautiful hotel complex built on it.
We went on honeymoon and had the most amazing time. the hotel have an incredibly high level of customer care and service and the staff from the bag handlers to the butlers are exceptional.
i couldn’t recommend this property enough.
We loved our stay at Hotel Chocolat. The rooms are breathtaking, the people super friendly and helpful and the food is delicious. When you are staying at Hotel Chocolat you must do the Sunset Cruise with Captain Cream. It was our favorite experience from 1 moth travel in the Caribbean. Can't wait to go back someday.
Absolutely incredible... our family had a phenomenal stay here. The most incredible setting, beautiful views, Villa Hermitage felt like an amazing escape from reality. The property is close to Hotel Chocolat, so wonderful to explore the surrounding area. I couldn't recommend it enough!
Great location with lovely views overlooking Soufriere, a car is recommended for this location, you can walk to some of the shops/ restaurants which are around 20 mins although it’s a hilly walk. Villa was very spacious and well set out. Toiletries in the bathrooms was a nice touch.
The hotel is located in a very ideal spot in the town of Soufriere. It is very convenient to get to different locations from here and the staff were really knowledgeable and helpful! Many convenience stores around also.
One of the most comfortable beds I’ve slept in a non luxury hotel. We enjoyed eating our breakfast on the little porch surrounded by fruit trees. Really friendly neighbors and Glenda and Valery were super nice.
it was a unique experience. Boutique feel hotel. very accommodating. Breakfast was complimentary. There were a lot of activities to do. Nice pool area. Open concept room. The view!
Very clean room. Very comfortable bed. Amazing view. Nice places to sit. Quiet but close enough to amenities in Soufriere. Staff very friendly and helpful.
