Hotel was clean and comfortable. Decor of the restaurant and bar were good, made the best of the views, and the food was very tasty.

Lovely friendly and old fashioned atmosphere. Staff couldn’t do enough for us. Room was spacious and clean with a small veranda overlooking the pool and glimpses of Hamilton Harbour. Really enjoyed the walk-in shower. Pastries and a fresh fruit platter were delivered every morning as part of the room rate. Very close to #8 bus and Lindo’s supermarket and pharmacy. Also close to Four Star Pizza. Food in the dining room was amazing.

Part of the hotel is renovated and I initially had a not renovated room. I couldn't open the windows of the room. When I complained I got a different room looking more towards the street and air conditioning engines which were loud during the night. At 699 $ the night totally below expectations!

Plenty of places to eat on the front.
Plenty of places to eat on the front. Selection of expensive and touristy shops. Bus terminal for buses to take you all over the island. Ferry terminal to take you to Dockyard and on to St. George's.

I booked this hotel because of their beach, and I was right!
I booked this hotel because of their beach, and I was right! The beach is absolutely fantastic.I would add a ferry between both Fairmont hotels, and maybe a couple of ferries from the hotel marina around Bermuda, but i would be just a little cherry on the icing on the perfect cake

Too many changes since years ago.
Too many changes since years ago.
Not to the benefit of friendly locals.
With the wealth of foreign investment, local business appears non-existent now too commercialised and rent for locals is sky-high.

The island is extremely expensive especially if you are visiting from America. A appetizer cost between 12-16 dollars and everything goes up from there. The locals are welcoming, friendly and helpful. Due to the dockyard the island is geared more towards tourists then its own people. I’d say this island is definitely for family vacation or business purposes only.

Pleasant city, which unfortunately clears out at night.
Pleasant city, which unfortunately clears out at night. Good restaurants and shopping. Excellent base to explore the entire island using the local bus system. Very nice waterfront, good facilities (public toilets, water refill stations). Pedestrian friendly. And the people are terrific -- polite, friendly, helpful. But it is pricey.
Rolly and Pascoal were suburb in their service and kindness to me, and to my friends. I looked forward to seeing them each morning at breakfast with their positive outlook on the day. If only all of us could be that hospitable to others the world would be a better place in which to live. Damon (Doorman extraordinaire) was fantastic on arranging our taxi drivers. Best taxi driver was a wonderful man, born and raised on the island, by the name of Vincent Whitter.
Location is very good, in a quiet situation on the southern edge of Hamilton, within 5 to 10 minutes walk of the ferry terminal, shops, banks, bus station, post office, restaurants, churches, City Hall and the Queen Elzabteh Park.
A useful convenience shop is situated opposite this 12-room guest house.
All the staff were superb - most welconming and very helpful.
It was also nice to see and hear the young children enjoying themselves in the nursery next door.
Staff, location, property. The staff was what made the stay at Oxford House exceptional; they are friendly, attentive, and they above and beyond to accommodate guests. The location is a close second, as it's on the border of Hamilton yet it's very quiet, making it easy to get to shops and restaurants on foot. The property itself is beautiful and clean, a boutique hotel that offers unique rooms.
I requested a baby cot in my room which wasn’t there when we arrived despite confirmation. Eventually we got one and were charged quite heavily for it.
There was some confusion about whether our stay included breakfast. No one seemed to be able to confirm this!
Overall though the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very nice although not overly great for young children.
Each room has unique decor and very comfortable. Good breakfast buffet in covered terrace. Great menu selection in main dining room. Daily managers reception. Great location with 5-10minute walk to Front St. Employees made sure our stay was great. They are very friendly, efficient and knowledgeable about area. The hotel has a great ambience.
the hotel is lovely and quaint. It feels more like a bed and breakfast in the best of ways. the Staff are all very friendly and go out of their way to make you feel at home. The rooms are beautiful and the grounds and pool are just gorgeous. It’s a wonderful place all around. and you can walk right down to town in ten minutes.
In a great location for the Railway Trail, Shelly Beach and seeing fabulous sunsets. A short ride to Hamilton and St Georges. It had everything I needed for my 15 day stay. The owners are very helpful and great hosts. They put me in touch with Jimmy the taxi driver who is extremely reliable and an excellent driver
We were delightfully surprised by our last-minute accommodation at the Oxford House. We unexpectedly had to stay another night in Bermuda (oh darn, right?) and the staff could not have been more welcoming, and the bed extremely comfortable. We appreciated the cozy conditions and assistance from staff throughout.
The hotel was amazing. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. We could not have wished for a nicer stay at this hotel. I would definitely go back - if I visited Bermuda again. Only a short walk (10 minutes) from Hamilton
Great value. Apartments are huge. They provided a beach bag with towels and you could take an umbrella
Tip: make sure you have a way to get around the island - get bus tokens (or coins in local currency) or rent a scooter.
The art in the hotel was stunning.
Camille the Assistant Front House Manager was quite brilliant She trained at the Mandarin Oriental in Manila and does it show!! She is a class act.
